- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the form used by the U.S. Department of Education to determine your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) by conducting a "need analysis" based on financial information, such as income, assets and other household information, which you (and your parents if you are a dependent student) will be asked to provide. The form is submitted to, and processed by, a federal processor contracted by the U.S. Department of Education (ED), and the results are electronically transmitted to the financial aid offices of the schools that you list on your application. FAFSA is the application used by nearly all colleges and universities to determine eligibility for federal, state, and college-sponsored financial aid, including grants, educational loans, and work-study programs. - Frederick Douglass Fellowships. Up to $1500 available to Washington College students who are working on projects related to African-American studies or related fields.
- SAP North America Scholarship Program. The SAP North America scholarship program wishes to recognize outstanding undergraduate students pursuing a degree in business, computer science, mathematics or engineering. Each academic year, SAP will award up to 15 students with a $5,000 scholarship (in local currency), intended to assist students in defraying tuition expenses for that one academic year.
- Sallie Mae Servicing Corporation. Sallie Mae®,is the nation's leading provider of student loans and administrator of college savings plans, has helped millions of Americans achieve their dream of a higher education. The company primarily provides federal and private student loans for undergraduate and graduate students and their parents.
- Vanderbilt Scholarship. Each year Vanderbilt awards approximately 300 merit-based scholarships to applicants who demonstrate exceptional accomplishment and intellectual promise. These students represent the top 2 percent of all freshman applicants to Vanderbilt, and with the limited number of merit scholarships available, the selection process is very competitive. All merit-based scholarships offered at Vanderbilt are renewable through four years of undergraduate study as long as the recipient maintains satisfactory academic performance.

Graduate Fellowship Programs

- AMS/Industry/Government Graduate Fellowships. AMS/Industry/Government Graduate Fellowships are sponsored by leading high-technology firms and government agencies and are designed to attract promising young scientists to prepare for careers in the meteorological, oceanic, and hydrologic fields.
- Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT). IGERT is the National Science Foundation's flagship interdisciplinary training program, educating U.S. Ph.D. scientists and engineers by building on the foundations of their disciplinary knowledge with interdisciplinary training. IGERT has provided funding for nearly 5,000 graduate students.
- Jane Addams-Andrew Carnegie Fellowship Program. Each year, the Jane Addams-Andrew Carnegie Fellowship Program selects six bright and highly motivated recent college graduates to engage in ten months of intensive study, volunteer work, and professional development. Grounded in the liberal arts, the program builds on the tradition of leaders ranging from Jane Addams and Andrew Carnegie.
- The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship. The East-West Center offers a wide variety of both short- and long-term programs for individuals. Academic scholarships and fellowships as well as educational exchange and professional development programs are available.
- German Chancellor Scholarships. Every year, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation grants up to ten Federal Chancellor Scholarships to young professionals under the age of 35 from the United States, the Russian Federation and, since last year, China, too. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation annually enables more than 1800 researchers from all over the world to spend time researching in Germany. The Foundation maintains a network of some 23,000 Humboldtians from all disciplines in 130 countries worldwide - including 40 Nobel Prize winners.
- Graduate Study in the UK. Studying in the UK continues to offer good value for money for international students - the quality of teaching is high, as is the international status of UK qualifications. We can help you find funding for your chosen course through our own scholarship schemes and links to approved websites. Many scholarships only cover postgraduate degrees; others cover courses fees for specific subjects; while some are only available for specific institutions. Whichever scholarship, grant or award is best for you, we can help you to find it.
- The George J. Mitchell Scholarships. The George J. Mitchell Scholarship is a national competitive award sponsored by the US-Ireland Alliance. Named in honor of the former U.S. Senator's pivotal contribution to the Northern Ireland peace process, the Mitchell is designed to introduce and connect upcoming generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to public service and community.
- P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund for Women. P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship (IPS) Fund was established in 1949 to provide scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study in the United States and Canada.
- The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans. The purpose of The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is to provide opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. The Program is established in recognition of the contributions New Americans have made to American life and in gratitude for the opportunities the United States has afforded the donors and their family.
- Winterthur Research Fellowship Program. Winterthur invites academic, independent, and museum scholars, and advanced graduate students to apply for short and long-term residential research fellowships. Fellows have conducted research in the areas of material culture, architecture, decorative arts, design, consumer culture, garden and landscape studies, Shaker studies, travel and tourism, the Atlantic World, childhood, sentimental literary culture, and many other areas of social and cultural history. Winterthur's museum and library collections are rich and diverse, and we welcome applications that offer fresh approaches to our resources.
